His father is aged 50 and is a Railway Clerk. His Mother is aged 41 and he has four elder brothers. His father died in 1898 aged 57. He is the Honorary Treasurer of the Tennis club. He is the deputy organist of St.Marys PC Bowdon and the regular organist at the St.Lukes Mission Church and is connected with St.Georges Dramatic Society.
He enlisted in 1916 and his brother Jack was with him at the last. His death was reported in the May 17th edition of the Altrincham Guardian. His memorial inscription reads - 'A life nobly sacrificed. Greater love hath no man than this'. Unfortunately it has not been possible to ascertain the circumstances of Georges death.
