William's Story.
PRIVATE W. PARKES, CASTLE.
Another brave Northwich lad of the East Lancashire Regiment who has lost his life in action, is Private W. Parkes, of 22, David-street, Castle. In civil life he was an employee of Messrs. Brunner, Mond & Co., being a plumber by trade. He was 23 years of age and had seen twelve months' service at the Front, whilst two of his brothers are also on active service. His father is a highly respected employee of Messrs. Brunner, Mond & Co., having been in the service of the firm for upwards of 26 years.
