Walter's Story.
Born and enlisted Crewe. Son of Clement James and Grace Elizabeth Broughton of 10, Martin Street, Crewe. Formerly employed in the Copper Shop, Crewe Works as a labourer until enlisting on September 2, 1914. Went to France (Boulogne) on July 18, 1915. Killed by a shrapnel wound to the head.
