KILLED IN ACTION.
News has been received that Gunner R. C. Banton (Bob) was killed in action on April 23rd. He lived at 29, Church Road, Higher Tranmere. Joining the Army in Nov. 1916, he went to France in March the following year. Prior to joining up he was employed by his brother-in-law, Mr. Bradshaw, New Ferry. He was 39 years of age.
