“For conspicuous gallantry, devotion to duty and consistent good service at all times.
He invariably displayed great courage and resource and set a fine example of devotion
of duty to all ranks”. 17.04.1918.
Edwin Evans was killed in action while organizing the posts on the Company objectives during operations near Marquion
He was killed by enemy machine gun fire, as well as the DCM he was also awarded the Belgian-Croix-De-Guerre.
