John's Story.

DIED OF WOUNDS IN EGYPT.
Official information was received on Sunday that Private John McLaughlin, Cheshire Regt., died of wounds in Egypt on the 9th May in his 22nd year. He was educated at Our Lady’s Roman Catholic School, and prior to enlisting in the Army was employed by Mr. Snape, builder, Cleveland Street. He joined the colours in November, 1915, and had been in Egypt one year and eleven months, having been wounded three times. His only brother was lost on R.M.S. Lusitania. His home is at 280, Brook Street, Birkenhead.
John's brother was Joseph McLoughlin who lost his life on the R.M.S. Lusitania on 7th May 1915
