ROCK FERRY SOLDIER’S DEATH.

Mrs. Poole, of 527, New Chester Road, Rock Ferry, is the recipient of the sorrowful intimation of the death of her eldest son, Trooper W. Crawford Poole, 2nd C.M.R., which took place whilst in action on Nov. 7th last from machine gun fire. Trooper W. C. Poole was the son of the late Walter Croker Poole, Lieut. R.N.V.R., and he has two other brothers serving in H.M. Forces. One is a prisoner of war in Germany, and the other is a commander of a British torpedo boat destroyer.

William's father, Lieutenant Walter Croker Poole was killed on the 28th December 1917 when his vessel was struck by an enemy mine.
