LOCAL MAN KILLED

Mrs. Reynolds, of 9, Ash Road, Tranmere, has received intimation of the death in action of her husband, Sapper W. B. Reynolds. His officer in a letter to Mrs. Reynolds says : “He suffered no pain as death was instantaneous. Although he had only been with us a very short time we had all got to know and like him very much indeed, as he was an excellent fellow in every way. He is buried in a small cemetery behind the line, and not where he was killed.” Much sympathy will be extended to Mrs. Reynolds in her sad loss.
