News has been received by Mrs. Rimmer, 106, Oxton Road, that her son, Corpl. G. H. Rimmer, who has been missing since April 14th, 1917, is now presumed killed, or died since that date.
He was employed by the L. & N. W. Railway Co., and was mobilised on 4th August 1914, and went through the Dardanelles with the 4th Cheshires. He came home in January, 1916, time expired, but rejoined, and was drafted out to France in December 1916. He was an old St. John’s School boy, and will be missed by a great number of friends.
