News has been received that Pte. Peter Forshaw, Cheshire Regt., whose home is 7, Newling Street, Birkenhead has been killed in action. He was 32 years of age and leaves a widow and four young children. He joined up at the outbreak of the war and spent over two years in Egypt. Six weeks ago he arrived in France and fell in the recent heavy fighting. He was formerly a tram conductor in the town and held in high esteem.
