Dies from Wounds.
Official news has been received by Mrs. Blythe, 87, Powell Street, Birkenhead, informing her of the death of her husband, Sergt. E. Blythe, as a result of wounds. He died on the 14th inst. from injuries caused by the explosion of a shell a few days previous. Sergt. Blythe enlisted in the Cheshire Regt. at the outbreak of war, previous to which he was employed by the Corporation as a tram driver. He was well known in the North End, and many will regret to hear of the sad news. He leaves a widow and two children.
