Captain D. B. Richardson Killed.
OXTON FLYING CORPS OFFICER.
We regret to report the death of Captain Douglas Birch Richardson, son of the late Mr. R. Richardson, of Arno Road, Oxton, and of Mrs. Dunlop, of Ingestre Road, Oxton.
Captain Richardson went to the front with the Royal Engineers shortly after the outbreak of war, and was invalided home in the following May. Later he joined the Cheshire Field Company R.E., attached to the Royal Flying Corps, and returned to France in May of this year. He was killed in action on the 29th day of July, his age being 24 years. Captain Richardson was educated at Gresham College, Holt, Norfolk, and at the Liverpool University, afterwards joining a London firm of engineers.
