LOST FROM OTRANTO.

Mr. Alfred Osborne, carpenter, whose home was at 37, Derby Road, Higher Tranmere, was lost from H.M.S. Otranto, when she collided with the s.s. Kashmir, and drifting ashore on the Island of Islay, became a total wreck. He was formerly employed at Messrs. Gravson’s, Birkenhead, and had joined the Navy only eleven weeks ago. Three brothers of the deceased have suffered the experience of being torpedoed, but fortunately all have escaped with their lives.

Mr. Alfred Osborne will be remembered as a member of the Stuart Road Mission, Higher Tranmere. He was 20 years of age.
