Gallant Soldier’s Death.

Twice Discharged from Army as Unfit.

Official news has been received by his wife of the death in action of Private W. Price, of the Manchester Regt., on October 30th. The deceased soldier was in the employ of Messrs. Lever Bros., and in peace time was a reservist in the 3rd Cheshire Regt. He was discharged as medically unfit in June 1913, but on the outbreak of war he joined the Cheshire Regt. (Wirral) Battalion, and was in training at Codford. He was again discharged as medically unfit on November 14, 1914, but being determined to serve his King and country he re-enlisted in another battalion of the Cheshires in February, 1915. He was in training at Bedford till the last week in August when he went to France, where he was killed as stated, being attached to the Manchester Regt. He resided at 9, Wilton Street, and leaves a widow and two young children to mourn his loss.
