Thomas William's Story.
Born Roade, Northampton, enlisted Chester. Son of Rebecca Tatler of 70, Hope Street, Crewe. A former pupil at Bedford Street School and driver in the Crewe Steam Sheds. Enlisted on September 3, 1914 and embarked from Southampton for France on September 25, 1915. Nephew of George Albert Tatler, who served in the same battalion, and died of wounds two days later.
