The Weaverham St. Marys “Roll of Honour” records two lads named Leadbeater; E. Leadbeater. & H.C. (Henry Chesworth) Leadbeater who also on the “Fallen” Memorial with the Rank of Private.
The 1901 census has the Leadbeater family living at 109 Runcorn Road, Barnton.

Mr. & Mrs Leadbeater of Beach Lane, Weaverham have received a letter from a comrade of their son, private Harry Leadbeater stating he has been killed, but so far, there has been no official confirmation of the news.
Private Leadbeater who was 19 years of age, enlisted about 12 months ago and previously was on the clerical staff in the Purchasing Department of B. M. & Co.
The Brunner Mond & Co. “Roll of Honour” records a Harry Leadbeater, Pte. with the M.G.C., K.I.A.
C.W.G.C. - remembers Henry at INGOYGHEM MILITARY CEMETERY, Belgium, his date of death is Friday 25th Oct. 1918. he was 19. Henry was with the 36th Bn., Machine Gun Corps. (Infantry) Regimental No 132013. Son of Thomas C. and Emma H. Leadbeater of Beach Road, Weaverham.
N.A.M.C. - record Henry C. Leadbeater, Machine Gun Corps, Regimental No 132013, Private, awarded the British and Victory medals, Theatre of War and Date of Entry had not been addressed.
