George's Story.

Enlisted Crewe. Son of Samuel and Jane Forster of Woodhey Green, Faddiley. Educated at Sound School and was a former roadman for Cheshire County Council. Enlisted on December 7, 1915 and embarked from Folkestone for France on June 15, 1916. His brother James died of wounds in April 1918. He is listed as George Foster on the Acton War Memorial.
