PORT SUNLIGHT MAN DIES OF WOUNDS.

Those who remember Pte. W. Brayne will be grieved to hear of his death, which took place on August 2nd in a hospital in France. It will be recalled that Pte. Brayne, who was the adopted son of Mrs. E. Edwards, of 34, Greendale Road, Port Sunlight, joined the Cheshire Regt. in November, 1914, and was in Egypt for 2 years and 7 months. He was transferred to France in July, 1918, and died shortly afterwards subsequent on wounds received in action. The deceased was educated at Port Sunlight School, and previous to enrolment worked at No. 2 wood box at Messrs. Lever Bros. Ltd.

Mr. and Mrs. E Edwards had not seen him for nearly three years, and he is sadly missed. He was just expected home on leave when they received the sad intelligence of his death.
