Son of John and Emma Vernon, of Bollington, Cheshire; husband of Drusilla Vernon, of 7 Edge Lane, Higher Openshaw, Manchester.
COMMEMORATION
Private Frederick Vernon has no known grave and is commemorated on panel ref. 120 to 126 or 222 and 223 on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Frederick Vernon, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.
