Thomas Derrick's Story.
Derrick was assigned as a pilot in the Fleet Air Arm and was attached to 759 Squadron based at Yeovilton. On 24th December 1943 he was carrying out dogfighting training flying a Hawker Sea Hurricane with other FAA pilots and hit the ground near Ilminster. The plane caught fire killing Derrick.
