KILLED IN FRANCE.

Mrs. Turner, 19, Gladstone Street, has had official intimation that her husband, Pte. W. H. Turner, aged 37, was killed in action on August 1st, in France. He was recently transferred to France from Egypt with his regiment. He joined up at the outbreak of war, and had been 2 ½ years on active service without a leave. It was when he was expected home that his wife got the news of his death. He was previously employed at Muirhead’s, Grange Road West, and was an old St. Peter’s School boy. Much sympathy is extended to his wife and children.
