Arthur's Story.

PRIVATE A. TOMKINSON.

Mrs. Tomkinson, of Lewin-street, Middlewich, received information on Friday morning from the Record Office, Shrewsbury, that her husband, Private Arthur Tomkinson, of the Cheshires, had been killed in action on July 12th.
Private Tomkinson was 29 years of age, and was a native of Winsford, his parents having lived in Station-road for many years. Since his marriage six years ago he had lived in Middlewich, and prior to the war he had worked at the Lostock chemical works. He joined the Army in September, 1914, and had been in France since October last. His wife received a field card from him, posted the day before he was killed.
