TRANMERE MAN FALLS IN ACTION

News has been received by Mrs. Starling, 11, West View, Tranmere, that her husband Pte. George Starling was killed in action on the 27th ult. Pte Starling joined the Denbighshire Yeomanry some three years ago and was later transferred to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and was drafted out to the Near East. Prior to joining the Army he was in the employ of the British Leather Company. Besides a widow he leaves one little child to mourn his loss.
