Percy Frederick's Story.

News Report

The sad news has been received by Mr and Mrs George Smith, 24, The Grove, Somerville, that her second son, Percy Frederick Smith, Cheshire Regt. (Lewis Gun Section) was killed in action on March 27 in his 23rd year. He enlisted in January, 1916, and was drafted to France in July of last year. He was educated at Riverside Council School and was employed in the cash department of the ‘Journal of Commerce.’ The brave soldier was a musician of the highest attainments, and filled the position of organist at the Seacombe Presbyterian Church.

Much sympathy has been expressed for the parents in their sad bereavement.
