Birkenhead News  17 October 1917

R.F.A. MAN KILLED IN ACTION.

Mrs. Rimmer, of 175, Market Street, has lately received the news of her husband’s death in action on Sept. 14th. Bombardier Richard Rimmer, who was only 25 years of age, joined the West Lancashire Brigade in May 1915. He was drafted out to France in April, 1916. Prior to his joining the Army he was employed as a butcher at Woodside Lairages. His numerous friends will sympathise with his widow and child in their sad loss.
