Thomas William's Story.

Thomas was born in 1886 to William and Harriet Antrobus. He lived with his aprents until he joined the forces and in 1911 he is listed as a chemical labourer but prior to enlistment he worked at a quarry like his father.

Mr and Mrs Antrobus of 17 Lower Court off Cooper Street, Runcorn have received the official news that their son private William Thomas Antrobus, has been killed in action. Private Antrobus, who was 34 years of age, enlisted in the first month of the war and went out to Salonika in August 1915. He was an old scholar of the Weston CE schools, and was also associated with Weston Church. Prior to joining the Army he was employed at Messrs Ormes Quarry Weston. One brother has been killed in France and another is serving at present.
His two brothers were also killed in the war, Fred and Samuel.
