Fell in Mesopotamia.

Tranmere Parent’s Second Bereavement.

Mrs. Parsons, the widow, has received news that her husband, Private Edwin Parsons, of the Cheshire Regiment, has been killed during the recent heavy fighting in Mesopotamia. Private Parsons was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Parsons, of 7, Rose Cottages, Lower Tranmere, whose fourth son, Private Geo. Parsons, of the “Wirral Pals,” was killed in action in May last. Both men have left widows. Edwin being the father of three little girls and George of two. Private Edwin Parsons was formerly well known in Birkenhead, being employed at the L. and N.W. Railway sheds. For some time prior to the war he was working at Swansea, where his wife and family reside. Mr. and Mrs. Parsons have a third son in the army, Private Thos. Parsons, now in the Cheshires, at Malta.
