Charles's Story.
Born Crewe, enlisted Chester. Son of Charles and Elizabeth Nield of 3, Cliffe Road, Crewe. A former fitter in the Fitting Shop (Old Works) and member of the Ramsbottom Street Chapel. Enlisted August 1914. Went to France on September 11, 1915. Died of illness in the 2nd Eastern General Hospital, Brighton.
