Clarence's Story.

  Clarence was born in Weston, Runcorn on the 21st May 1893. He lived with his father Joseph, a chemical works labourer, & his mother Mary at Rose Cottage, Weston. He had 3 brothers, James, Alfred & Thomas, & 2 sisters, Maud & Elsie.

  Clarence enlisted in Warrington, 1914. He entered France on the 2nd December 1915.
On the 12th July 1916, he was wounded in the chest and leg. 
He died of wounds received in action on the 19th July 1916. He is buried at Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, Dept De La Somme, France. I B18.
His wife received official notification of his death in August 1916. He had a young young child. 
Prior ro enlistment he was employed by the Weston Chemical Company, and worked at Castner Kellner.
