William's Story.

Born Crewe, enlisted Chester. Son of Mr E. and Mrs Charlotte Jackson of 223, Alton Street, Crewe and was a former pupil at Hightown LNWR Boys School. Employed in the Crewe Carriage Works before enlisting. Went to France on July 24, 1915. Killed when shot by a sniper, receiving wounds to his stomach and wrist.
