Alfred's Story.

Born and enlisted Crewe. Resided at 9, Middlewich Street, Crewe with his sister Mrs Attwood. Footballer who played for the Forge and Haslington teams at left back. Won a gold medal when the Forge team won the Cottage Hospital Cup. Went to France on August 10, 1914.
