YOUNG TRANMERE SOLDIER FALLS IN ACTION.

Mr. and Mrs. Hind, of 42, Fountain Street, Tranmere, were on Sunday last the recipients of bad news from the War Office, which briefly stated that their fourth son, Pte. William Hind, had been killed in action on June 13th. This young soldier who was in his 21st year rallied to the call of his country early in the war, and went out with the Lancashire Fusiliers in February, 1917, and has not been home on leave since. Prior to joining the colours he worked at the French Steam Laundry, New Brighton. Mr. and Mrs. Hind have two other sons serving.
