Harold's Story.
Born Wrenbury (July 18, 1894), enlisted Nantwich. Son of Joseph and Martha Gregory of Wrenbury Green and was a pupil at Wrenbury School. Previously worked as a farm labourer at Sound and enlisted on November 15, 1912. Went to France (Le Havre) on August 16, 1914. Died in the Niederzwehren POW Camp. It is highly likely that Private Gregory was captured in August 1914 following the Battle of Mons.Service record available.
