Sydney's Story.
Born Shropshire, enlisted in the field. Husband of Margaret Foster of 6, South Street, Crewe. Former labourer in the Steel Foundry, Crewe Works and was also a miner. Enlisted August 7, 1914, embarking from Southampton to France on February 17, 1915. Killed by an exploding mine. Also served in the Cheshire Regiment (No.10228).
