Local “Bayano” Victim.

Admiralty confirmation has been received by his parents of the death of Fireman Wm. Flinn of H.M.S. Bayano who was among the lost when that vessel was torpedoed. He was the son of Mr. Wm. Flinn, plasterer, of Dacre Street, for many years in the employ of Mr. James Bird. He was educated at St. Mary’s School, Priory Street, and prior to the war was a fireman in the service of the Pacific Co. He was 25 years of age. Mr. Flinn’s other sons, John and James, are also serving their country on the sea, John on H.M.S. King Orry, and James on H.M.S. Triumph, now in the Dardanelles.
