DIED IN HOSPITAL FROM WOUNDS.
Gunner Geo. E. Oliver, son of Mrs. Frances J. Oliver, 5, Balls Road East, Birkenhead, is reported as having died from wounds on May 25th at University War Hospital, Southampton. He was 22 years of age, enlisted in the R.G.A. two years ago, and had been in France for twelve months. Previous to becoming a soldier he was employed at the G.P.O. While the late soldier was in hospital at Rouen his mother visited him and stayed for about two weeks with him. He will be buried today at Flaybrick Hill Cemetery with full military honours.

Military Funeral
On Saturday last the funeral took place at Flaybrick Hill Cemetery of Gunner G. E. Oliver, of, 5, Balls Road East, who, as reported in our last issue, died of wounds at University War Hospital, Southampton, on May 25th.
The deceased was accorded full military honours, the coffin, which was draped with the Union Jack, being conveyed to the cemetery on a gun carriage, a contingent of soldiers from the Border Regt. marching with the cortege. A volley was fired at the graveside and the “Last Post” sounded.
