Samuel's Story.
Born Chester, enlisted Wrexham. His parents resided at 46, Hope Street, Crewe and he was a former labourer prior to enlisting in 1910. Went to Belgium (Zeebrugge) on October 6, 1914. Wounded in the shoulder at Ypres at the end of 1914, but returned after recovering in an Oxford hospital. Hit by bursting shrapnel and died in hospital.
