Harold's Story.
Son of Mr. George Brammer and Mrs. Emma Brammer, of 147, Canal Road, Congleton, Cheshire and Crossfields, The Moss, Congleton, Cheshire. He had four sisters, Nellie, Lizzie, Emma and Ethel Brammer, along with one brother, Thomas Brammer. He was employed at the age of 13, as an Errand Boy in a Towel Weaving Mill. He died in the Military Hospital, Manchester on the 3rd of October 1918. Interred at Holy Trinity Church, Mossley, Congleton, Cheshire on the 7th of October 1918. He also served in East Africa.
We often sit and talk to him,
And think of how he died,
To think he could not say "goodbye"
Before he closed his eyes.
