Heswall Mother’s Bereavement.

Mrs. Bayley, Pensby Road, Heswall, has received word that her second son by her first marriage, William Stanley, Signaller, in the South African Scottish, 22 years of age, has been killed in action in France. About three years ago he joined the South African Mounted Police and when war broke out he assisted in supressing the revolt in South Africa, having a share in the capture of a famous rebel. Transferring to the South African Scottish, he came to England for training at Christmas 1915. Nine months ago he proceeded to France where he has been until he met his death. Mrs. Bayley has two other sons serving.
