LIEUTENANT BELL’S DEATH FROM WOUNDS.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell, who reside at 151, Laird Street, have recently received the official intimation of the death from wounds on April 17th of their son, Lieut. R. S. Bell, who was attached to the Cheshire Regt. Lieut. Bell joined up on the outbreak of war and went to France in the summer of 1915. Here was there twelve months, and came back to England to train for his commission. He had only been in France five months before receiving the fatal wounds. Prior to joining the colours he was with the Great Central Railway, and was well known in the town. His name adds another to St. Anne’s School roll of honour. Lieut. Ball was only 29 years of age at the time of his death, and leaves a young widow to mourn his loss. Mr. and Mrs. Bell, it will be remembered, lost another son in August of last year. The family will have every sympathy in their sad bereavement.
