Died in Hospital.
Fitter Edward Freshney.
Mrs. Freshney, of Hungerford Road, Crewe, received a telegram on Monday morning stating that her only son, fitter Edward Freshney, of the Royal Field Artillery, had died in hospital in Yorkshire. He enlisted in October 1915, having previously served his apprenticeship as a fitter in Crewe Works. He was a member of Christ Church Bible Club and Cricket Club. He was well known in Crewe and was a staunch friend of Rifleman J. E Williams, who has been killed at the front.
