Charles's Story.

Charles Abbott was born in Mobberley, Cheshire in 1896, one of six children born to Henry (a navvy) and Hannah Abbott of 96, London Road, Northwich.

He joined the 19^th (4^th City) Battalion of the Manchester Regiment, becoming Private no. 12548.

Charles died of wound on the 24^th July 1916.
